Playing Sounds: You can play the selected sound(s) by either clicking (or Option-clicking if you have the Drag Manager installed and the “Option-click to drag & drop” is not checked (See the “Application Preferences” chapter for an explanation)) on the sound icon in the Current Item Area or by selecting the “Play Sound” option from the “Items” menu. You can stop a sound during play by hitting the Command-.(period) keys at the same time or by clicking the Cancel button in the progress window (see Progress Window above). QuickTime™ Movies (Copying, Pasting & Playing): NOTE: If you're running a PowerMac, you'll need to have the extensions “QuickTime™” and “QuickTime™ PowerPlug” installed to be able to play QuickTime™ movies. • Copying & Pasting You can copy and paste QuickTime™ movies to and from the current scrap file by using the standard “Copy” and “Paste” options of the “Edit” menu. • Playing movies You can now play a QuickTime™ movie that is in the current scrap file by clicking the play icon in the standard movie control bar if the current resource type is of type “moov”. You can also play any QuickTime™ movie file not in the Scrap File by selecting the “Play QuickTime™ Movie File...” option of the Import menu. • Stopping a movie Click the stop icon in the standard movie control bar. IMPORTANT NOTE: Movies aren’t actually stored in the scrap file, but a reference to the movie is, so the actual movie must remain on the disk to use it.
